The concept of Non-Alcoholic Tequila was invented at a biotechnology company in New York City.

Dealcoholized Tequila was born from our discovery that agave-based spirits like Tequila & Mezcal contain natural monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) activity.

As biomedical researchers enthusiastic about exploring natural mechanisms for novel products benefiting human health, we developed methods to retain volatile compounds during removal of ethanol to make authentic reduced alcohol alternatives.

TQ products are made with blanco agave spirit imported from Jalisco, Mexico and dealcoholized with proprietary methods that preserve aroma, flavor and sensory properties of Tequila.
