Origins — Spirit of Biotech
This work began in a biotechnology laboratory in New York City.
We identified previously unrecognized monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) activity in agave-based spirits, including tequila and mezcal.
As biomedical researchers interested in natural mechanisms relevant to human health, we developed methods to retain key volatile compounds while removing ethanol, with the goal of preserving the essential character of the original spirit.
TQ products are made from blanco agave spirit sourced from Jalisco, Mexico, and are dealcoholized using proprietary methods designed to preserve aroma, flavor, and sensory properties.
This work forms the basis of our proprietary methods and issued patents.
About the Company
ABV Products Company focuses on non-alcoholic and mid-strength agave spirits.
Our approach is to retain the character of the original spirit while reducing alcohol content.
TQ Silver Light is a reduced-alcohol agave spirit at 20% ABV, made from genuine agave distillate sourced from Jalisco, Mexico.
TQ Zero is a non-alcoholic agave spirit currently in development.
